Stocking Tiger

Stocking Tiger’s ability has been given errata to reveal the cards in the booster pack before putting them into your hand. This is because you are only allowed to add to your hand the cards in the booster pack with names of either UnCommander-only cards that are included and not banned in the format you are playing (UnCommander Core or UnCommander UnOrthodox), or cards in sets included in regular Commander. The cards in the booster are considered to be outside the game and not in any zone, except for the cards from it that are put into your hand once they have entered your hand.

It is possible that Stocking Tiger may be under the control of a player other than its owner as its triggered ability resolves. This may mean that the cards in that pack will be put into that player’s hand. It is important to make it clear that those cards still have their original owner. This should be visible from the back of the card, and players should be able to tell which player owns each card in a player’s hand. The ideal way to accomplish this is using card sleeves.

If you are playing with this card, you must have an unopened booster pack or equivalent available to use with it.

Note that rule 13 on the Commander website means that, by default, in UnCommander cards cannot be brought into the game from outside. You would have to agree in your playgroup to allow such effects.
