UnCommander Rulings

Sword of Dungeons & Dragons was first released in the HASCON 2017 promo cards in September 2017, several months before Unstable’s release in December 2017.

The HASCON 2017 printing of Sword of Dungeons & Dragons has a “D&D” watermark. As the HASCON promo is the original printing, regardless of which printing is used, Sword of Dungeons & Dragons is considered to have the “D&D” watermark.

The official gold Dragon token made for original HASCON 2017 printing has a “D&D” watermark printed on it. As such, the effect was given errata so that the tokens created by its effect have a “D&D” watermark.

You create a gold Dragon token only if the result generated for the roll is exactly 20. This is after die rerolling and replacing effects have been applied, and includes the modifiers of effects that increase or decrease the result of a die roll.

Note that the color of the Dragon token created by Sword of Dungeons & Dragons is gold, which, because of this card, is a color in UnCommander. See the Rules Overview page for details on nonstandard colors and basic land types in UnCommander and the UnOrthodox suppliment.

“Repeat this process” on this card means to create another dragon token and roll another d20, with the possibility of repeating again on another result of 20.
